The Celtic Café Radio Programme has been broadcasting the best of Celtic music for a decade. Home station for Celtic Café is WMRD,1150 AM in Middletown, Connecticut, USA. Celtic Café has been in existence for over ten years formerly broadcasted as Celtic Connection Radio Show. In September of 2005, Celtic Café was formerly launched replacing Celtic Connections with a updated format.
Each show is a collection of music from around the Celtic Universe. Music selections range from Trad, ballads, cutting edge, contemporary, folk and new age Celtic. The Celtic Café library is extensive and expansive plus features many rarities listeners cannot hear anywhere else. The perfect blend of music and knowledge of the presenters which makes Celtic Café Radio Programme unique and always worth the listen. Celtic Café where there is always a "story to the music."
New in 2009
Starting in February 2009, Celtic Café will expand to Arizona by joining the KJZA-FM 89.5, the Northern Aizona Public Radio station. Our show airs for one hour at 5:00 PM each Sunday. KJZA-FM is a publicly supported community broadcast service with studios in Prescott and Williams, Arizona providing service to the fastest growing population areas of Western and Northern Arizona. KJZA-FM operates in partnership with NPR Member Station KJZZ-FM, Phoenix. Their broadcast schedule offers high-quality programs from National Public Radio and Public Radio International Monday though Friday. Arizona's only classic jazz music program is offered weekday evenings.
